Every occupation helps making the world a better place. Doctors cure, Engineers build, Governments administer. Each playing a vital role  in the society. But there is one unsung hero who makes all this happen, who makes every one run, walk, and work, who makes everything possible for everyone. And that unsung superhero is ‘THE FARMER’

This is a Thanks to all those Superheroes who make the world happen everyday…

Train of Thoughts-4(FOREVER)

The train of thoughts-4(FOREVER)
Why do we even talk of ‘forever’ when someone eventually has to leave us?
I read this on someone’s status today and as usual the train of thoughts started. We all in our lives use the word forever as ‘forever love’, ‘forever alone’, ‘best friends forever’ etc. and while saying this we visualise an infinite time, a time which we can’t measure, maybe the time till our last breathe. We try to paint the perfect picture but one day the forever ends, and we are left with the bewilderment of thoughts, a huge burden of pain, a psychological trauma. We think that people leave, they go away, don’t want to be with us anymore.
Let’s explain this by an example, we all have cell-phones, rather smart phones, we all have used the cameras to click hundreds of pictures of ourselves and of the people around. Let’s just say that you are to click a picture of your friend there’s another friend of yours standing next to her sipping coffee, but she just wants her solo to be clicked, so what you do? You put your other friend out of the frame. The friend standing next is not the picture. Now for another picture you click your friend who was standing next and not the girl you clicked earlier.
What did happen? To get attention to a particular thing, you put the rest out of frame. But its frame, that what changes everything. Consider life a big album of pictures, these pictures are in the form of thoughts, in the form of things that you see, in the form of emotions, in the form of people you meet, you be with. When you love someone or like someone, the person is in your frame, when you find someone else your frame changes, you don’t forget the person but just crop him/her off the frame. It’s just one example, but there may be as many examples as there are perceptions to see the thing.
Sometimes I feel maybe, ‘Forever’ is not time, but an emotion to be felt in the numbered days. So, let’s just try to find a forever in whatever we have, there might be something worth missing after it goes away.

MAD story

4 FRIENDS AND THE DARKLANDS

Prathamesh Dabhekar gets a new video game ‘The Darklands’. His friends and him were waiting for this game from a long time. Seeing no one home he calls in his 3 friends Sugra Khanwala, Prasad Chaudhary and Shreya Agrawal. They start playing the game but suddenly something unusual happens. The room goes dark, everyone thinks it is the power cut but before they can understand anything they appear to be standing at the gate of    ‘The Darklands’. Their clothes changed to armors and helms. Suddenly,  A fairy appears before them she introduces herself as gate fairy, Indraja Nikam.  She welcomes them to the darklands and tells them that its a test for them who call themselves as friends. With that she gives them some weapons.

Prathamesh receives a Bow and Arrows. His keen observation and alert senses will serve him to get past everything with these weapons.

Prasad is always awed by magic tricks and thus he receives a Magician’s Cap using which he can pull out many things but he must be careful about it because the hat has one rule “once you take out anything you must use it”. He must use his wisdom to judge what he wants and how to use what he gets.

Sugra is the most voracious reader, she believes ‘books can give you any answer’ and so she receives a ‘Book of Everything’ which helps when she is confused. She is the one who is going to provide all the knowledge they need to win or say survive their quest.

While, Shreya is a wonderful writer and thus she receives a ‘Mighty Pen’ with which whatever she writes during the sunset comes to life.

Adorning their gifts, the 4 warriors proceed on their journey. After travelling for a while they reach a castle. At the gate they are all questioned about their visit and are taken to the queen Atreyi Chakraborty, who is known for her benevolence and her beauty. When they are summoned before the queen she enquires the purpose of their visit, they tell her their entire story of how they got inside the game and how they met the fairy. Queen Atreyi welcomed them and in their honor organised a grand feast, Naina Gill and Pooja Pandit known for their mesmerizing dance all over the kingdom, that evening, depicted the history of the kingdom and how the evil king Sarang Akhade took over the entire kingdom and also the innumerable attempts they did to defeat him. After the performance they came to know about the evil king and how has he harassed the entire kingdom with his dark magic and powers. Shreya told the queen that they will help and will fight the evil king and bring back peace to the kingdom, the other 3 were stunned by the decision of Shreya, they started fighting with her about the decision. in the middle of the fight, the fairy Indraja appeared once again and she told them to calm down, she told that for serving the realm the mighty have to take the sword and then only peace can be made, she told them
“Help forges the future and brings rewards to everyone” and disappeared,
they all thought about the words for some time and it stuck to Prathamesh that Indraja was actually talking about there freedom.
If we help these people, then we might be able to get out of this game, they all thought about it and at the end agreed to do so.

The next day, their journey started again, now they knew what they had to do. they now knew what their fortune was to do, but they knew that in unity lied there strength. On their way they met a woman named Nupur Agrawala and were offered with some delicacies that they loved. She offered more and asked them to accompany her into her home which was at the verge of a dark forest. They reached the house, it was small and smelt of potions but the fragrance of the delicacies lured them in. Inside they meet a man Abhijeet Borkar lying on the bed, he was weak and pale. He told them he was suffering from a very grave disease which cannot be cured. Nupur offered them some sweets, they ate them and then they suddenly dozed off. They woke up and found themselves shackled. Nupur apologized for giving them the milk of poppy, and told them that she has sold them to the evil king sarang and in return she would receive medicines for her husband. She told them that the medicine was prepared by Priyamvada Chauhan who is imprisoned by evil Sarang because he was the one who has been working with an evil sorcerer Aniket Nadkar. Aniket could hypnotize people, play with their psychology and make them do whatever he likes. With Sarang’s very big army and Aniket’s dark magic those two had conquered the lands. But god has its own way of destroying evil. Just when sarang and Aniket were about attack on queen Atreyi’s castle, goddess madhura appeared in the sky and declared 4 warriors will arrive from a different world and destroy the evil. Sarang was enraged and Aniket came up with the break-out of a non curable black plague. The 4 warriors assured Nupur that they will get the medicine and also destroy Sarang and Aniket but Nupur was still afraid. Thats when Prasad told her he can make them invisible with the help of an potion which he can take out from the hat. This will keep Abhijeet and Nupur hidden from Sarang. Nupur finally agreed and set them free, Prasad gave them the invisibility potion, Nupur told them that they have to cross the dark forest to reach Sarang and Aniket that’s all she knew. The warriors thanked Nupur and they set off towards their destiny.

They enter into the jungle. After going a bit far in, Sugra feels a light stroke on her head. At first she thinks of it to be breeze but when that happens again she turns to see a ghost! She screams out loud when she finds not just one but a hundred of them. Petrified  as they are, they can't think of a thing. Randomly Prathamesh sends an arrow from his quiver at one of them. But it turned out to be useless because the arrows penetrated through them. Now, Shreya took out her `MIGHTY PEN' and wrote- a paranormal healer. Nothing happened. It struck to her that it works only during the dark. So, Sugra, now opens the book she has been bestowed with. It gives a way of producing the dark. And that is how a paranormal healer, Deepali comes to life. She helps the 4 warriors to overcome the ghosts. She calls her friends named Raj Meghwani and Nihal Tiwari, who she says will help them with the war she believes that is soon to be break. She says that this information of the war is not to scare them but to prepare them for their destiny.
The warriors were standing at the gates of the dark keep, it was said that the castle was impregnable, that many armies had tried to but they couldn't even pass the army at the gate. The warriors were afraid, the evil orcs army started blowing horns so for the battle to begin, but right then they heard horns from their side, they turned around and saw a huge army marching towards them and with that for the first time since the siege the sun came out from the dark and gave the warriors a sign of hope. Queen Atreyi had sent her army to help the warriors in the quest. The gates now opened and a huge army of evil orcs came marching towards the warriors, and in the rumbling noises of warhammers, the rustles of swords and arrows ‘The mighty war of the middle earth’ began, Prasad pulled out swords from his magic cap and handed it over to the others, and thus the mighty warriors entered into the war that was to turn the future of the entire darklands, men started falling, on both the sides. There were huge animals, giants, fighting from the evil side, some so huge that they can kill an entire battalion, but these determined souls stood still, Prasad and Prathamesh, with their horses came at the front and spoke to the army, they said
look at those creatures, if you think they can kill you then you are right,
if you are afraid to stand , its not wrong ,
people of darklands ,
this is a day, the history will remember when we brave souls challenged the mightiest army and won. for fear dwells in the heart of the courageous”
‘for darklands...’
With this roar the army fought with the giants, the orcs and all other creatures who happen to come from lands unknown. The brave souls fought bravely, killing every beast standing in there way, the evil army soon was on the losing side, and suddenly the evil king called out for a retreat, the walls of his castle had been breached, his keep was destroyed, the brave souls and warriors had lost more than half of the army they felt that the victory was near, they felt that the war was soon to end, they felt that it was the last time they were holding their swords. But then suddenly the evil king rose with an unknown army, the army of the dark, the army which was never defeated in any battle, the battle began, the dark army began to slay the brave souls. It felt as the war was to end on the other side. Everyone lost hopes. But then they heard something that made their hopes come back to life, the army of ent had arrived , Akshay Nimje the shepherd of the trees lead the army and behind them the whole jungle rose for the darklands, the evil king was stunned, within minutes the whole dark army was slayed. a fierce battle took place between Prasad and the evil king, swords clashed, the evil king in one blow killed prasad, it was a dreadful moment. But when the evil king turned, Prasad got up and slayed him. The dark army turned to clay, none remained on the battlefield except the brave souls and the warriors, within a blink of the eye the mighty battle of middle earth was over. Everyone was happy but they had suffered a terrible loss. prasad lay dead on the battlefield, the warriors surrounded him.
WE FINALLY WON, GUYS
he said and passed away. The great warrior was taken to peace.
Everyone was at sorrow with this loss, they offered their condolences, and Akshay the shepherd of the trees said “battlefield is the graveyard of warriors, may the great warrior rest in peace”
After offering rightful services the army went in the castle and the warriors started their journey towards queen atreyi’s castle, they had freed priyamwada, on there journey back to the castle, they dropped priyamwada to the dark forests where she made potions for the poor guy, on reaching the castle they were welcomed with a grand feast and were taken to the queen directly. After a few words with the queen, Indraja came in as the princess and asked the warriors whether they wanted to go back or not, to which they happily replied yes, she reminded her words to them and said that the whole darkland was in their debts. she took back all the weapons she had given to them and a magic door appeared in front of them, she told them that it will take them home, the warriors asked about their friend Prasad to which, she drew a spell and Prasad appeared in front of them, they all were very happy to this and happily passed through the door, prasad was the last one to pass through it, before passing he told the queen
“the realm is served” and got inside.
the warriors were at their place when they opened their eyes. The darklands was now just a memory to them, an unknown dream which they saw together.

This was a story which depicts the power of truth over evil. though at times the evil seems to take over but at the end ‘the good triumphs’. Even the nature supports the good, much like it happened with the warriors. differences aren't made by big things, but by a million of small ones....

So, try and MAKE A DIFFERENCE, a good difference!

The Childhood

THE CHILDHOOD

Today, I had a discussion with some friends about ‘Our Childhood’. Stories, laughter, pranks and a lot more stuff was shared. At the mere end of the discussion we hit the topic ‘The Childhood of Today’s Generation’ and all three of us got a bit disheartened and worried. I was thinking about the same thing for quite some days and finally today I got a chance to discuss it.
When we speak about our childhood we talk about playgrounds, we talk about the cartoons, we talk about the dire waiting for our favorite shows, we talk about the things that were disclosed to us in our teenage, we talk about being extremely crazy about things. In short, we talk about ‘Being Us’. But when we look at the ‘geNext’ the harsh reality we see is the children getting exposed to many areas very early, that they are growing at a rate faster than ever, but somewhat in an unknown direction. It’s a matter of concern for everyone of us because these children are going to be the next ‘YOU and ME’. Today children are brought up as if they are going to be soldiers in war. They are being prepared for the rat-race, or simply, as their parents say, for ‘The Ultimate Future’. Getting a reality check is also very simple, just peek into the bag of a school going child. The number of books is more than we have ever read, the weight generally being around 15kgs making us realize how much has the ‘weight of expectations’ burdened him and the entire children breed. Children’s world of dreams are being invaded by the nightmares of EXPECTATIONS.
I see that the curiosity of exploring the world is very high in children. There curious minds are always searching for something new around them. They get attracted to anything very easily depicting the innocence in them. It’s being observed that kids are getting involved in many unwanted things due to these curiosities. This is happening because of the exposure to wrong environment at tender age in which our media and television are playing a key role. It’s the reason of the frustration in them that they aren’t able to handle, which in turn is deeply affecting them.
Another observation states that, there are very few KIDS in existence today, the KIDS race is on the verge of extinction. The infants are evolving directly into teens leaping over the childhood phase. The little innocent smiles are getting fewer, the honest funny pranks are getting lesser, the crowded playgrounds are getting deserted, CHILDHOOD is getting lost somewhere.

Realization is said to be the key for change. Now as we have realized, Let’s amend what we have done and encourage what they can do. Let’s try to put a smile on the little innocent faces and try to give CHILDHOOD back to the children.

That Christmas NIght

ON THAT CHRISTMAS NIGHT

It was the Christmas of the year 2013, unlike every year this year was different. This year he was away from home,  studying in one of  the prestigious B-schools in the country. His parents were proud of him, coming from such a small family he really had metal to go after his dreams. His wolf-pack friends were also very happy with him. All were happy, he always tried to keep everyone like that and to his part He succeeded in it. But nobody ever thought about his happiness, his parents thought as he is going after his dream he must be happy, his friends thought as he helps everyone and spreads a great laughter, he must be happy, but I knew him well, infact very well. he was among the few great buddies I had. He was my and rahul’s go to person. he was among those few people who are really good at bluffing the world. He didn’t shared his pains with anyone but himself and her. Yes, like every other person he had a her. Someone whom He loved a lot , someone whom he really cared for, and someone who meant his world to him. He used to tell me about her all the time. Every single day he tried to talk to her. They lived in different states but for him she lived in his heart. He tried to make everyday a special for her. But she loved a different person. Even after knowing it, he loved her, he didn’t expected anything but just wanted to give his entire life to her. She was his best friend. Maybe we can say they were the best together. It was about 11oclock that night, an hour left for the Christmas eve. He started walking towards the chapel near our place. He called me up but I was with my someone. I saw him going. I wondered what would he pray. Unlike others he didn’t pray for himself. He prayed for 4 people. His mom, dad, his brother and her. He must have reached the chapel when I got a call from him. I picked it up. He always had funny names for all of us. He said,” hey roy, thanks for being such a lovely friend to me…” and that was it. A sweet line and the phone was off.
I asked my rahul for the permission to go with him, as we all were friends, he said ok. I went to the chapel. He was standing there like he was waiting for her to come and take him with her. He saw me, he came and took me inside the church. It was a nice proceeding. He went for the prayer. I was sitting on one the benches thinking about that sweet girl whom he loved. I felt something was gonno happen. i closed my eyes and wished that whatever my heart is saying should happen but it should happen for the good. And suddenly I got a call. It was an unknown number. I picked it up. It was someone whom I never expected to call. I heard a sweet voice which said,
“hello, is it Ayesha”
“yeah, it is, who is it?”
“I am kirti, you must be knowing about me…”
“yeah, he told me about you many a times”
“hey, I am in delhi, want to meet him urgently but I want it to be a surprise for him, can you tell me where are you?”
“I am at a chapel with him, near the d.u, you just need to come to the gate , I’ll see you there”
“yeah , I’ll be there in few minutes”
It was an exciting conversation. It was as if god was listening to me that time. He was still in his prayers. He finished them and turned towards me and smiled. He took out his phone and texted her ‘’merry christmas’’. It obviously must be her.
I asked him what he wished, he said “you know my wish”
I just said to myself,” duffer, I always know your wish…its for mum dad bhai and kirti”
After few minutes we were strolling near the chapel. He told me to go back home as it was late and also said Rahul must be waiting for me. Who can tell this duffer that the one he was waiting for from such a long time was in the town now and that she was coming to meet him. I already texted Rahul, to pick kirti and come to the chapel. He was hell excited as I was. It was 11:30 by then. The chapel was a 10minute walk from the d.u. gate provided you are dropped at the proper location. We were still walking near the chapel. It was 11:40 when I got a text from kirti that she is near the gate. I replied her rahul’s number and told her to come with him. She said ok. Rahul was already at the gate. Here me and he were talking about the many things he thought, he was sharing his heart out. Pouring out his every single emotion. It was nice to see two people doing so much for each other. One person giving away his everything just for her wellness, and she coming a long way to meet him. It was making me smile and cry at same time. It was about 11:50 when Rahul told me that he has picked kirti and they are now running towards the chapel. I acted as if I am getting cold, he took me inside the chapel and made me sit there. He started rubbing my hands. I was waiting for kirti and Rahul. The excitement was at the peak. What will happen. What will kirti say, what will he reply. He has been waiting to see her from so many days. From so many days he has been waiting to tell her that he loves her. I was getting nervous. It was one of the nail crunching minutes. And then Rahul texted that he has come.
Kirti and Rahul entered the chapel. All drenched in sweat by running, all her hair were messed up, but still she looked the perfect angel. I was able to see her but he wasn’t. she looked at me and smiled and came near us, she called out his name…
He turned around, he knew whose voice it was, the voice he always waited, the voice that talked with him all through the day and night, in anticipation he looked at her… words aren’t enough to describe the look on there faces. The happiness both had. That wish which had come true, that love in there eyes. It was all magical. They both came near to each other…
“hi” he said.
“hie..”she replied.
Without any more words to say they both hugged each other. Both closed their eyes and both took each other in there embrace. And there was this midnight stroke saying merry Christmas. Both wished each other. Both had tears in their eyes. And he said the magic words. Those three words which he had only for her. Those words that were never meant for any other person. Those words which made him and her complete. Those words of love.
“Kirti, I love you…I can’t tell you how much, can’t tell you from when but I do, I do love you”
“I love you too, I love you too…”
Was there gonno be any other reply. No. Both were still hugging each other, both had water in there eyes, it was the tears of happiness, there was so much love in the air that it was magical. I had tears in my eyes watching those two hearts meet. A Christmas has really become merry to us. We all came out of the chapel, holding each others hands. They went for a walk in that chilly night of delhi then. Holding each other’s hand for forever, she was resting her head on his shoulder. They looked the perfect together. While as me and Rahul went to our place. We saw them walking hand in hand. And for the first time since I met him. I saw him smiling without any burden, without any fear, A smile of a innocent small boy. A smile which only kirti can give him. Finally, he was happy. Someone gave him the best gift ever. The gift of love. And kirti was equally happy as she got her world…he was her lobster we can say.
It was a gift that santa gave all four of us…

It all happened ON THAT CHRISTMAS NIGHT…
